The High Holidays mark the beginning of the Jewish new year. They begin with the holiday of Rosh Hashanah (October 3-4, 2024) and culminate ten days later with Yom Kippur (October 12, 2024). This period is known as the The Tens Days of Penitence. It is a time when God is especially close to us and hears our prayers.
