Planned Giving
As a serious philanthropist, you appreciate the commitment to improve our world that has driven the Jewish people for 3,000 years.
Today, through planned giving, you can fulfill your charitable goals and maximize the impact of your giving. By using various government sponsored tax-beneficial tools, your philanthropic dollar can sometimes even be doubled!*
Planned giving helps you transmit to your children the importance of giving back to the community, while creating a legacy of those who will benefit directly from your generosity.
To have us arrange a confidential, no obligation meeting with one of our highly qualified estate planning professionals or receive an informative brochure about planned giving, contact your local branch or Rabbi Ephraim Shore, eshore@aish.com or 972-2-628-5666 ext. 271.
Bequests: Leave a legacy of giving *
Bequests provide an ideal means to benefit Aish, since you control
your property until your passing and leverage your own gift by avoiding
state inheritance and federal estate taxes. The benefit can be more
than half of the value* of your bequest if your estate is in the
55 percent tax bracket. There are no limits on the amount of estate-tax
charitable deduction one can claim.
You can make a bequest to Aish HaTorah in a variety of ways: with a new Will or a Codicil (amendment) to your current will; naming Aish HaTorah a beneficiary of your retirement plan; including Aish HaTorah in your living trust; or a simple pledge agreement.
Suggested text for an unrestricted bequest:
"I give ____ dollars/_____ percent of all of the residue of my estate to Aish HaTorah, an educational, charitable organization headquartered in Jerusalem, Israel, for the benefit of the institution as it sees fit (or name of specific program)."
Life Insurance:
Naming Aish HaTorah as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy makes the insurance proceeds tax deductible in your estate and avoids costly and time-consuming probate. A relatively small annual premium provides for a substantial future gift -- one which will offset taxes due on your estate. If ownership of a policy is transferred to Aish during your lifetime, it can produce a current tax deduction. Existing policies may also be transferred easily.
* Applicable in the U.S. Other countries may have differing tax arrangements.
