Rabbi Noah Weinberg

Rabbi Noah Weinberg is a graduate of the American yeshivas Rabbi Chaim Berlin (Brooklyn, New York) and Ner Yisrael (Baltimore, Maryland). In 1966 in Jerusalem, he started a baal teshuva yeshiva for assimilated young men. The Six Day War greatly increased the curiosity of young Jews estranged from, but fascinated with, their heritage. Aish HaTorah was started in 1974 and the organization has since grown exponentially, due to Rabbi Weinberg’s ability to empower young people to take responsibility for the Jewish future.

Rabbi Weinberg is regarded as a pioneering educator, whose teachings emphasize a close relationship with God, and maximizing one’s pleasure in this world through meaningful activities. Many of these topics are explored in his book, “What the Angel Taught You” (ArtScroll Pub.). His tape series, “48 Ways to Wisdom,” is popular throughout the Jewish world.

In 2005, Rabbi Weinberg was honored with the prestigious "Treasured of Jerusalem" Award.

Rabbi Weinberg says: "Our vision is to instill in every Jew pride in our heritage, confidence in our future, and an appreciation of how precious one's involvement with the Jewish people can be for himself and all humanity. By working together, we can achieve the miracle of a Jewish renaissance."
