Itzik earned his BA in Communications at Sapir College in Sderot, Israel and is currently finishing his MA in International Conflict Resolution at Bar Ilan University. In order to raise awareness about the intolerable situation in southern Israel, Itzik joined the Sderot Media Center as Director of Marketing and New Media. After more than three years, he became the Israel Fellow at UC Irvine where he launched the first social media team to effectively help students tell their personal stories of the skewed media coverage on campus. Itzik is the founder of BOMAH – the Brand of Milk & Honey organization that positively re-brands Israel by identifying why Israel is important and demonstrating how to share personal stories through social media. His focus is to help Hasbara Fellows translate their personal Israel experiences into inspirational messages for others.
