I love Rabbi PLiskin's podcasts. His words touch the soul.As someone who has experienced a lot of verbal abuse from others (don't know why, sometimes I think it's because others see me as weak, w. not a lot of self esteem) the Rabbi's words touched my heart and yes I can fully agree that words do hurt and limit another's person's potential! It's so important to be conscious of how you use your words- better to use fewer words and let them uplift others then use many to bring others down. Thanks very much for the important lesson. Please keep your inspiring lectures coming!

I am a victim of verbal and physical abuse and names can hurt me.The saying sticks and stones can break my bones but, words can never hurt me is alot of crock.I should kn ow I have insulted by my sister's friend and so has been my sister.I have also, been called bo bo by a so-called friend and other thers there is a saying about pay bck I believe that and also,it shows something about someone's charachter. They have a low self-esteem about themselves that they become verbal and physically abusive towards someone else.
