Not too little, either

Otherwise, no challenge, no satisfaction if successful

good point

The rabbi made a very good point about not biting off more than you can chew. For some of us, however, making a long term commitment is helpful. One reason I go to the gym regularly is I made a yearly financial commitment and I hate to waste money. Boy I wish my gym offered a lifetime membership!

What a scream! but bitter-sweet

Fitness clubs are fully aware of this inbalance of membership vs. attendance; but they would love to see all of you IN attendance, this is the best testimonial how the clubs work: good attendance...
Now... how about Encouraging Phil and his family to 'just go' even if only once in a while! Great place for a family outing, right? sure beats another unnecessary fattening restaurant where too many do gobble up too much
One good deed leads to many others... the ripple effect of one good deed is 'out of sight'

the point is true but I don't think that is why Phil didn't go back. .He didn't tell us if he and Sam ever went back either.
