Get the large print
The publisher is Artscholl and is called the Stone Edition. I had the small set. The print was so small I had to have a magnify glass to read it. The commentary is very good. I passed that set on to someone else. The bigger set probable has a larger print that would be easier to read.

People of the Book
People of the Book. We got that name because we believe and follow the book. The Torah is the doctrine of Judaism. The oral teachings helps to explain what is in the Torah. To be called People of the Book is a high honor. It means others can tell we are Jewish, not because we read the Torah; moreover because we live by it! I was trying to move the page down and hit something that went to the Western Wall Cam. The Temple: My House Shall Be Called A House Of Prayer! That also makes us be known as the People of the Book. We are a people that Prays!

hello fellow jews
I would like to recommend a program called "Partner in Torah." I study the Chumash every week, via telephone, with a very kind and knowledgable lady on the other side of the country. Initially, I was a bit intimidated by the whole idea. But we actually have fun studying. (I am not joking!)

This is my favorite 'sermon' by you so far.
I put sermon in quotes, because yours are so much more personable and I'm not sure what other term would fit them. And thank you, I am sooooooo tired of being ridiculed when I quote it and women older than me have never touched it. Thank you! Todah rabbah! Finally someone besides me has said it.

The Torah
The first time I tried to read the Bible, I came to the"begots" and gave up. I was young and lacked patience, I guess. Some years ago, I purchased a Torah at a Jewish book shop and was surprised to find it was only a portion of the Old Testament. However I did read it through. I am ashamed to say that I considered it boring and overrated! I couldn't believe that people re-read it and study each sentence! Somewhere I read that it should be read in the original Hebrew to be appreciated. It is not that I am not interested in my religion and in being a Jew but that was my reaction.
