Where is the simcha?
I went to a synagogue not long ago and I failed to see the simcha. Why would kids want to be Jewish when they can't see the simple simcha in following G-d and His commands? Are parents showing the joy of their faith and Judaism to others and their children? As I seek to do better with my faith, I constantly remind myself to show my kids the joy in my beliefs, the joy in following what is good, the joy in doing what is right. I fail at times but that is the past and the present is now; everyday G-d gives us a present, the present of changing our actions and our failures into something better. The present of simcha.
