A Common Type of Jewishness

Our neighbors had a huge Confederate flag visible in their garage. They have not thrown antisemitic slurs at us, but they have been abusive. I have mostly Christian friends some of whom support a "two-state solution" for Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. We argue about this occasionally. Our children are both married to non-Jews but our daughter says her (adopted) daughter is Jewish. My husband and I are not practicing Jews, although my husband says prayers for the holidays and tries. My mother was an atheist, I am, and so is our son. Nevertheless, we all FEEL Jewish and attempt to inject love of our history and culture as best we can. I initiated the Atheist Pesach last year and we have special dinners for each of the High Holy Days. I can't actually speak Yiddish, but I know some words and I'm teaching our granddaughter. I don't have much hope the grandchildren will embrace Judaism due to their large gentile families and the American culture. Still, we do what we can. I'm not interested in religion as such. I cannot read or speak Hebrew. I suppose I just wanted to add my two cents. By the way, I'm an artist.

The Evil Legacy of Rome Still Haunts: the most evil Fairy Tale

Many centuries ago, a few clever Greek advisors convinced their Roman friends to exploit this new Jewish sect that seemed to be following a collection of zealots who all claimed to be the new messiah. Once the seed took root, the Roman empire's propensity for exploitation and conquering by the sword, quickly spread this new hybrid concoction of Jewish ritual mixed with paganism and rammed down the throats of Europe and the rest is unfortunately, "history". Jewish hatred stems from one source, the fairy tale known as the New Testament.
Yes, the hatred of the Jews is a centuries old extra-genetic virus that to this day, perpetuates itself in every church and mosque every week and hardwires new generations. There is no end to this disease called antisemitism and as long as the human species thrives on it, the more certain will be the eventual self destruction of the species known as Homo sapiens or what I more aptly call, Homo chironex.
Christians who hate Jews then pray to Jew on a cross, display the most outrageous example of cognitive dissonance known in human history. What a shame, one can only imagine what extraterrestrials must think:-)

Antisemitism or anti Jewish hate is simply a form of extra genetic virus, created, and promulgated by the Roman Empire which to this day, casts a shadow of terror and fear over people of the Jewish religion who continue to suffer the brutality and persecution perpetrated by both Christians and Muslims who have been ensorcelled by fairy tales.

Just to clarify

Lori, anti-Zionism IS the current form of antisemitism. What can you do about it? In other time I would've said fight back, educate people, write to the media... but actually the only real solution is to make Aliyah. Exile is death, Israel is life and dignity. Only in Israel a Jew can truly develop his/her identity. As simple as it sounds. Don't think like the enemy. Finish the diaspora or the diaspora will finish you.
