because we are the nation who brought morality to the world thousands of years ago

We are the nation who brought morality to the world in 1313 BCE, and therefore when we behave immorally we appear to be hypocrites. No other nation claims to have brought morality to the world.

Therefore, what is to be done with the Palestinians ?
We are appearing to be hypocrites to all of humanity.

What is true is still true

Some things never change and I worry that my grandchildren will not feel the same about Isreal that people of my generation feel.

rachel's comment

It was indeed a powerful piece, and I WISH it gave me the shivers like it did to Rachel. The problem is, I've read pieces like this too many times and I've been desensitized to it. No, it hasn't been too many times: that's my desensitivity speaking. Oh, to get back those shivers!

The world should really know the Jewish way of life in order to know just what life is all about. Being a jew would totaly change everyones outlook on life and finally know the truth and erase christin dogma.

you are right

You are right; it's very hard to admit it to ourselves. I think that we as Jews should stop concentrating on the problems of the world and start helping fellow Jew.
I just came from Israel. Everyday the news start with the number of rockets that landed in our Israel, but nobody else cares. So called humanitarians (Jews and non-Jews) are saving the world, but fail to mention anything. Our blood is not red enough for them. News do not report it, so unfortunately it's true: nobody cares enough.
People who speak up are not published in papers anymore (or at least we do not see it in Australia), just sometimes occasional hint, but next day paper will apologies to the upset socialist and Muslim population.
With great sadness I have to agree with you....
