Merging of Two People
It was interesting to hear someone advocating that marriage is a merger because it seems that today most people are afraid to get married, afraid to lose their individuality, afraid to lose their separate assets, and afraid to commit. People opt to just live together or get pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreements, almost foreseeing that the harmony will one day come to an end. I am a divorce lawyer so I hear the worst stories. Unfortunately, I have gotten divorced after a 12 years marriage by a man who betrayed my trust and is completely ignorant as to the negative impact it will have for the future. How can I learn to trust someone again and merge myself into one unit when I see on a daily basis in my work and own personal life the dangers of losing control over oneself. I cannot respect or date a man who is divorced and left his own wife and children (sometimes such men come to me to minimize their child support obligations) because that's what happened to me. I rather date a person who is never married but he might not want to deal with my two little children or a widower. How do I meet a decent person in NYC who will be worthy of merging my life with again. Today, with internet everyone knows that someone better will come along on the site the next day. Flora

I have never been disappointed with any of Lori's videos. I have been married for over 50 years and her "merger" advice is still appropriate and useful. She is down to earth and her advice is always invaluable. Sponsor a video . If you are not comfortable sponsoring on line, mail a check like I did.
