The Gift of Live

I would ask them to share with the rest of us how much they truely appreciate being alive and how they must use this gift by sharing those feelings with others. If we could remain on the high these men most have felt we too would value each moment of life even more and be sure to make the most of the few precious moments G-d puts us in this world.

give them space

The first thing I recommend is defintely give thanks to G-D that they were saved. This was totally in the hands of G-D whther they were going to live no matter how much effort everyone tried to help. I hope this inspired both the men and everone else. However, i think the media should give these men their space. I understand everone wants to hear their experiences. The miners have not seen their families in all that time period lets give them time to bond w/their love ones. Peole should realize who gets priorities.

Do acts of kindness;be peacemakers.

They had to have soul searched own there for so long! They should want to help others in need in any way they can. They should be kind and patient to all around them. They should work towards peace in their homes, communities, and the world. If they write books or make movies, hopefully they will be socially redeeming!

in a heart beat

remember that life is a "mine field" and that we're all in this together in every sense of the word. Remember and never forget, that you are beloved, and that the world was created for you. But I don't really think the issue has anything to do with reminding a miner, but rather, reminding us, who stood above, and Who stood above us all. I like your lovely use of the word uplift, and what might seem a pun, perhaps has a depth of meaning that is about the alchemy of words, and that we can all of us do this, so constantly, and so well.

They can teach us

I think it would be presumptuous for me (or any of us, for that matter,) to tell them anything. Having gone through such a protracted ordeal and having emerged intact, with acts of heroism on the parts of several of their senior members reported, they are the ones who surely have messages of inspiration to impart to us, that we would benefit from hearing.

Thank our Father every day

Each day when you rise, thank the Almighty for your rising from death under the earth, ask Him to bless all those who had a part in bringing you out of the earth, and forgive those whom others blaim for your accident. Then ask Him to help you fulfil your resolutions, and love your family who waited for you in faith.

First thing first

Sr. Sougarret, the mining engineer called the "brain" of the rescue told that they were losing hope and suddenly the drill inexplicably changed course and ended up perforating the refuge where the men were located. Dont ever forget...

Dear Miners, There are no words that can be enough to tell you how you must have felt being in tombed after the mine shaft gave way and caused all of you to be lost from civilization for those 68 days. As "Super Mario" has said in an interview, "That he prepared himself for the possibility of actually being found not alive" and there were talks of cannibalism, but THANK G-D and he alone who has put the minds and work of many to fight together and bring all of you up back to your families, but you must all together stay together and send out the message that "G-d is the one and only " that makes it possible to pull this off. As we have seen in many mine shaft incidents in the past and there were many that unfortunately did not make it out alive. Send you message clearly to all of us, as we have seen a true miracle and may you all be blessed to continue sending out the message that LIFE is very valuable and worth saving at all costs.

resolutions

the miners should visit the site of their salvation once every 2 months and pray there for success in keeping their resolutions.every year on the date of their rescue, they should have a "seudah hodaah".

I remember

I remember another mining accident not too long ago in which most of the men were saved with maybe one or two deaths due to health conditions that took place and I remember the workers and the families being bitter and that after the rescue we later heard that one of the men who was largely responsible for the rescue being successful committed suicide. So my advice to the men is that you can stress the negative or you can stress the positive. People went to a lot of trouble to save you. Try to remember that you might be holding the fate of other men in your hands. Therefore if you have the choice between seeing yourself as a victim versus as someone saved, and the choice between seeing that people are divided between boss and employee versus seeing that a whole bunch of people worked together to save you and seeing the unity of people, therefore choose the positive.

Always remember that G-d chose you to showcase his ability to perform miracles, now you have the chance to show yourself that you can live a life that will merit that miracle.

write it down

This is no different than the resolutions Jews accept on themselves over the high hodiays. In order to prevent such resolve from falling into the abyss of forgetfulness and eventaul indifirence, three steps are necessary. 1. commitment made to do something small and attainable. Example - don't say you won't ever get angry at your kids anymore. That is taking on yourself too much Rather, accept on yourself to control your feeling during suppertime or at least for some regular period of time during the day. 2. write it down in a notebook. Make the thought real, not just theory. 3. review weekly. This will prod you and help to maintain your resolve. Savor your successes and don't come down hard on yourself for the times you fail. Try and keep on going. If you folow these steps, you may not win all the battles but you will be the victor of your personal war.
