It touched my heart
As a former yeshiva student, I was embarrassed that I couldn't remember the Baruchas. Your site is wonderful. I work in NYC and it took me less time to find the blessings on your site than to find a Menorah in downtown NYC.

I like the animated Menorah. I am in college now and it was much easier to explain Chanukah and how to light the Menorah with the awesome animation! Happy Chanukah!

Thank You for helping me find my Jewish soul....
My mother's paternal grandmother was Jewish and because of the grief her and her husbands family put them through when they married, they raised my grandfather as an atheist but imbued with a strong sense of the jewish culture. Yiddish has always been spoken in our home but it is only recently that it was discovered that our roots are Jewish...Sephardic as well as Ashkenazim. I recently married and then found shortly after that I have terminal cancer. Now, I am able to celebrate a holiday, and hear the language of my forebears which means very much to both my wife and myself. Thank you from my heart....L'Chayim!

Helps when I'm away from home
Although there is a decent number of Jews at MSU, lighting the candles in my dorm room is special to me. Having this helps me not to feel so lonely when I am seperated from my family. Also, it great for educating all of gentile friends!

for a new friend
I was helping a nursing home resident light the candles tonight,but we didn't know the prayers; I made a copy from aish, and will recite them for the rest of this festival. Alan was moved to tears as the first candle was lit, and began remembering the celebration with his grandparents. Thankyou.
