babyseats

Dr. Solomon said Bathing seats, not "baby seats" He meant seats for putting kids in the bathtub. It gives a false impression of security, and some parents don't watch them carefully enough when they are in the bathtub seat. Holding the baby instead of using a bathtub seat is better, according to Dr. Solomon.

Good points

1. Lock up those cleaning chemicals.
2. Don't let those pot handles hang over the edge of the stove.

Co-sleeping is not dangerous if done properly

Having a baby sleeping next to you is not dangerous as long as precausions are taken. Do not leave the baby near the edge of the bed if he rolls put a cushion or pillow there. Do not sleep next to the baby if you have taken a medication that can make you drowsy or if you have been drinking any alchohol. Otherwise there are many parents who co-sleep and feel it makes for a happier and calmer baby.

Not much around coffee tables, but anything too sharp or hard---many fire places have stone areas around them where kids can hit their heads. Laying pillows there can be a good idea.

God bless!
