...and I went to Penn State.

I totally agree with you Rabbi!! There never should have been a statue to Coach Paterno. The esteem of Penn State or any institution of higher learning ought not to be based on football or any sport. There are important measures of organizational esteem, football isn't one of them.

Terrible.

Shameless anti semitism. As if even a moment is enough.

My husband has a ticket

My husband has a ticket and plans to travel with others from the Washington, DC area to the Siyum Hashas.

it's a good reminder that while we Jews have been through a lot through out the centuries, the one thing keeping us together and protecting us is the Torah that Hashem(G-d) gave us. By the way, when looking up Siyum Hashas, make sure it's the 2012 event.

unbelievably inspiring

I was at the last Siyum Hashas, and I can guarantee you, it was one of the single most inspiring events of my life. Hundreds of thousands of Jews celebrating the Torah together. It is incredibly uplifting and caused me tremendous happiness. Highly recommended for everyone. People will be discussing it for months. DonT miss it.
