Why is it so Difficult?
Reproducing and carrying on our species should be the easiest thing in the world. It's natural. Mothers naturally produce milk for food, and later teach their young how to provide their own food, Mothers' instinct has been to protect their young for thousands of years, and the same thing goes in 2015. Women make it so hard for themselves. Babies need 24 hour food, shelter, safety and all the basics of care for at least 2 years. Then, more safety, guidance and support and teaching, and kindness for another 15 years. Women surely know this is a job about loving and caring and devotion when deciding to parent a child. When did the big crisis begin that parenting is the hardest job in the world? When a woman asks when does it all get easier, I would say when you decide to make it easier on yourself and on your children.

I enjoy sleeping through the night
I disagree to what was said about being dissapointed when a child reaches new milestones. My husband and I were so happy when our son started sleeping theough the night and when he became potty trained and started getting dressed on his own. I guess, to each his own....

Best Stage is the one they are in right now.
I appreciate your straight and honest remarks. One thought that helps me get through each stage is knowing "It won't last forever." So enjoy the positive part and face the challenging part... For good or bad, this stage won't last forever and we'll be on to something different. (A little more sleep would help though!)
