You can’t go wrong with these simple, failsafe recipes.

Guys, here are some amazing main course recipe that even you can make. Your guests will all be amazed and delighted at your newfound culinary talents!

Salt Crusted Chicken

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 4 bay leaves, whole
  • 5 bay leaves, crushed
  • 1/3 cup peppercorns
  • 1/3 cup hot pepper flakes
  • ½ cup kimmel or any other dry seasoning
  • 1/3 cup parsley, cilantro or basil, chopped fine
  • ½ lemon
  • 2 kilos Kosher salt

Prepare ½ lemon, chopped herbs and 4 whole bay leaves inside chicken. Close it up. Tie legs together. Take 2 kilos of Kosher salt, add peppercorns, crushed bay leaves, hot pepper flakes and kimmel, mix well. Add a small amount of water to wet the salt mixture.

In a small roasting pan, frying pan or pie dish, place ½ inch of salt mixture on the bottom. Pat smooth, cover entire bottom. Put chicken on top of salt, and cover the entire chicken with salt mixture, creating a dome. Pat until smooth.

Cook chicken for 1 hour at 500º F or 260º C. Then remove the chicken. When ready to serve, cut the bottom of the dome all around and lift off. Remove the chicken and serve.

Delicious!

Taiwanese Breast of Chicken

  • 2 cups bread crumbs, golden
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup apricot jelly
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic or garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Pour bread crumbs into a dish. Press schnitzels, both sides, into the bread crumbs. Roll them up. Place into a small baking dish, one next to the other. Mix together mayonnaise, apricot jelly, garlic, salt and pepper. Spread apricot mixture on top of the rolled schnitzels. Bake at 375º F for 40 minutes, and serve.

Spare Ribs with My Wife’s Easy Barbecue Recipe

  • 3 kilos flanken (Asodo in Israel)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lots of garlic powder

Saute onion until tender, then add remaining ingredients. Stir until sugar dissolves.

You can either defrost the roast and cut into finger-length strips, or boil the roast (works well if frozen) and then cut it into finger-length strips. Either, boil for 1 ½ hours, until soft.

Place finger-length strips in a baking tray. Add barbecue sauce, mix well. Place under broiler or hot oven for 15 minutes and enjoy.

Simply Yummy Chicken
