This technique has given me back some control.My kids respond more to this than anything I've tried.I thought the video you did was well done. (3) Rosen 11/11/2007 9:04:00 PM positive reinforcement It's better to tell a child, "if you don't do this, you will be rewarded" instead of saying "if you do that, you will get no reward." As for yelling, it is certainly authoritative, but it can result in a child hiding and repressing his/her emotions similarly to spanking. Parenting involves a lot of consistency in discipline and reward upon the child's self-reliance such as working hard and following through on necessary expectations. Like what you read?
