We should tell our children and have them understand that it is important to know and pass onto their children.
This should; 'NEVER be FORGOTTEN.'

Tell the next generation
REMEMBER AND BE STRONG
Today I stood in a cement room filled with memories of the past
I looked at all these memories behind a tear stained sheet of glass
It seems unfair that of the fallen of this place nothing much remains
Except within a memory book that reminds us of their names
I thumbed through all the pages of this book with tears of sorrow
Relishing everyone of them while praying for tomorrow
We shout our cries of "Never again" and "We will not forget"
While many throughout the earth spew hate without regret
That day within that cement room as I looked at names gone by
I swore I would not forget them or the reason why they died
Many limbs from off my family tree perished in this place
They may have perished here but their lives you can't erase
A part of them, though gone, still lives on today
For flowing through my veins is their very DNA
The place where I stood that day I could hear the ground cry out
It wasn't in a whisper or still small voice; it was a mighty shout
In the silence of that room I heard it echo through my heart
It left a lasting memory that never will depart
"We may have perished here in Dachau", I heard a voice from deep inside
"But we still live on in you, live strong so we won't have fully died."
I left that cold and barren place with a new found determination
That I would pass their life and names to future generations
We must pass along their names and pass their stories down as well
For if we do not then we are destined to repeat this atrocity from hell
I, for one, will not forget and I will shout it loud and long
Be strengthened Israel, be courageous and be strong.
