Different Jews respond to different musical styles. The Maccabeats have their detractors, but I can't imagine how many Jews are getting a more positive take on Judaism because of them. My favorite Maccabeats song is "The Latke Recipe," but this Hamilton take is wonderful and so are their other pieces. And the guys themselves are mentschen (I met a couple of them once). May their Kiddush Hashem continue for a long time.

Hamilton cast shines again!!!

This is great and certainly adds to a wonderful Hanukkah.

Perhaps not all that original, but there's definitely something there.

If the Maccabeats would transfer all that talent & energy to something similar--but something original--it would be sensational.

Also

is the world ready for yall to come up with your own material and not just remix the latest goyish stuff- your stuff becomes dated in two minutes and no one wants it
instead of being timeless/ classic making stuff up youll be proud to show your kids in the future
dont be so trendy
macaabeats you can do better- be real maccabim!! we believe in yall!!

I Kind of Agree With Naomi

Is This About Chanukka Or.....Just an Opportunity to Copy a Non Jewish Show and give it a Jewish name? Did the Chasmonaim wear revolutionary war style wigs and sing they will not betray their G-d in response to a British looking king banning Jewish rituals with revolutionary war era looking soldiers doing the can can? Cause Chanukka is about the victory of Holiness over the Impure

American revolutionar war quote.

It should be noted that during the American Revolution the slogan was "resistance to tyranny is obedience to God>\",
