Motivation

This film is wonderful. It causes me to ask myself, "What am I doing to help other people?" If we all contribute, even just a little, what a change we can bring to the world around us, wherever we are. Isn't that our purpose here, isn't that what Torah teaches us?

Faithfulness

Our faith in our G-D in action. This clip shows what Faithfulness realy is. One can be the most religious person in the world, but if you do nothing with it, then your faith is dead. This should be a reminder to all of us as to what is expected of us if you call yourself as faithful people in these ........ days. It dose not mean that you need to do what was showen in the clip, but we need to do something to help our community and other peoples of the world, to be a living light to others.

You can do this in your own life

This is a beautiful video, we should all strive for greatness, but should all realize that you dont have to go to Ethiopia to achieve greatness. you can make a huge difference in someones life and the world, by making a conscious effort to smile at someone you may not have otherwise. to show people you care, especially your own family in your own house every day. say and think, I love you, because you are a fellow Jew. if everyone would do this in their own lives, the world would be a better place. may Hashem help us all to see the good in others, and to work on ourselves, and our speech, and to see others as a tzelem Elokim-created in the image of G-d.

missed out on the little things

the video was very well done and defintely showed the good that any person can do, but, what about the little things that one can do. among many other things, being kind to someone, going out of your way to help someone, choosing to speak nicely or not at all? all of these will "tip the scales" as well. while the big things certainly make a difference in the world, it's the small unnoticable things that will make a huge difference as well. Every "good deed" counts, no matter how big or small!

Small steps

Beautiful! I would just like to point out that these great people did not get to where they are now in one day one week one month not even a year or 2 or 3. Let's not get discouraged and say I can never be that great. It takes baby steps. Every morning right after you thank God for returning your soul back to you, think of one small baby step that you can do to make yourself better today. for example: I'll smile at 5 people I pass as I walk from the bus to work. I'll spend an extra few minutes praying with more concentration today. Make sure what you pick is small so you can really do it. Then every night night take a few seconds to reflect on the day and see if you actualized what you planned on doing in the morning. This is a great way to take small steps in changing yourself so that you become a great person. This method was taught to me by Rabbi Zecharia Wallersteinin one of his shiurim that I listened to on torah anytime.com

Yes! These individuals are exactly that- individuals. They probably see themselves as just merely doing what they are supposed to do. They probably see themselves as people who have flaws just like you and I. In spite of their human frailty they get on with life and go out to perform amazing feats. Planting God's seeds

From time to time we have to re-evaluate the situations at hand. How and in what way does God want to renew the earth. What seeds and where does he want to plant. A new day, and rejoicing for the opportunity to work for and on behalf of Almighty God. When we ask God, "this is your money, what do you want me to do with it" "God these are your hands, whose life do you want to touch today" "God this is your voice, what do you want to say" These people shown in this video said YES to God. It's the same as watching our own lives on video streaming, or it could be for those who say yes to God. When I touch one persons life, they touch someone else, and it goes on to multiply to the numbers shown in this video. To be fruitful and multiply means also in reaching out God's hand to others in need. Multiply the number of people being touched by God's loving care through YOU. We should take care of our own household and family. After doing that, there is no poor in our family. Then God is able to expand our territory. Some people need to re-evaluate what poor is. If they visited third world countries, they would realize how rich they truly are, and then realize they do have more than enough to help those in dire need. God has given each of us seeds to sow, waste not want not, plant the seeds God has given you. That's what these people did whom we watched in the video.
