This touched me, just when I need it.
Thank you for this video, it hit me hard just in the right place. My weight management adviser told me that we have to try to achieve 80/20. That no one can be 100%. It is now after watching this video, that is finally is hitting home. It isn't just about weight loss, it is about life, about being a good person. Thank you again.

This helped me so much over yom kippur
I couldn't believe it. I did something recently that I thought I would never be able to forgive myself for. Then suddenly 10 minutes before Yom Kippur he sends me this video. I used to think that Yom Kippur was the worst yom gov ever. Now I realize how important and happy I was to go through Yom Kippur with this video I mind. I did something so bad I thought for sure there was no hope for me. But with the help of my bestfreind, this video hhashem and yom Kippur I can honestly say that I'm a changed person. I don't think I will be able to forget what had happened but I'm definitely in the process of picking myself up and moving on for the better.

very good, your a very talented guy with a hope and a heart for Iseael.
It amazes me that when I speaking on one topic or another. You are a very enthusiastic speaker with a condensed way of getting to the truth over a mater or topic. I really enjoy listening to what you have to say. Please keep it up I will enjoy listening to all other topics in the future. My computer will not allow me to put your video my to my computer no matter what. It doesn't matter what the programs is your on I can not put it on this dang computer. So I guess I'll happily listen to you instead of having it on my computer. This dang computer is quite the challenge for an older, older person.

except if you are a single female, no-one will give you a chance, at dating if you made the mistake in the past of not making dating a priority. The individual can be as focused and committed as possible towards getting married, but the community will not give her a chance, these are the Jews that are tossed aside regardless of how sincere their attempts are to form a future.

smae, August 31, 2011 7:16 PM
Change focus maybe
My thought is to take your eyes off the goal of getting married and focus on serving others and loving life. Sometimes when we focus too much on what we do not have it twisted us all up inside and we are seen differently by others from what we believe we are. Instead, focus on what you do have. You have opportunities to forget about yourself, walk in humility, and care for others, serve....the sick, lonely...those with burdens...serve your community with no concern about recognition or return. This will make you lovely and you will find joy in your lot. Well, at least that is what I have learned.

Thank you for your video. I relate to the chocolate chip cookies. If I am studying at night or I awaken and I start to study Tanakh or some other book whether it is a Siddur or just Jewish Word Dictionary, I am ok. If I cannot get back to sleep and go turn on the tv... I can forget about not eating. There is always something there and who doesn't like carbs! Sweets! Thank you, I know that I am not alone. :)

Thanks!
Charlie, your messages are always right on target. Your cookie story helped me this past week to break the habit of eating late in the evening. When my shift had changed, I knew it wasn't wise to eat supper after work when it was 7:00 or after. I broke that habit this week. And on a plan to "get up" from some other things also, even after many years. Thanks for your encouragement: YES WE CAN!

More than thank you for your great video, thanks for being you
I have viewed a few of your videos in the past. As I watched each one, I was able to be strengthened by your message and feel better and happier because of it. But there is more to your videos than the message you share with us. There is you. I notice you are an exceptionally happy person. Happiness is not something one had fane - at least not to the level to you appear to be at. Thank you for working on yourself and growing to be a person who can have a punim yefes and inspire those that see you. As the gemora says, a person who smiles with the whites of his teeth is more nourishing than a cup of milk. Thanks for being you.

Persisting to Fix Economy with Education
Dear Charlie, Much thanks for the encouraging note. For over a year I have been pushing the idea that economic problems are related to education, or Edu-Conomy. I set up a blog: EconomyWiseUp.com . I sent out zillions of letters and emails to important people. So far, almost no one has responded. But...I am persisting and your video is encouraging me to keep sending out messages on this idea to fix the economy. Perhaps Aish.com would be interesting in commenting on this idea for economic recovery. MUCH THANKS and Good Year 5771 . Harry@RochesterNY

Thank you
This is the second talk i have heard from Charles. He is very effective. Even if they last only momentarily, they enter one's subconscious and likely come up later. It becomes cumulative and so i hope to hear more of his messages. I see that there are related articles below about the soul. I hope that the material is by Charles. Inspiartional messages can only benefit one. Thank you.

Another amazing moment with Charles Harary
I hope that you know the joy and encouragement that your videos bring to me every time I watch one of them. I fall down a lot - and then I think I can never get up again - and watching this video made me think that I can get up again. Sort of a confession here...I intended to observe Rosh Hashanah and did nothing that day, nothing, but take the first day off from work. This morning, I was thinking, "You're nothing, Sarah, nothing...a failure as a Jew...ultimately as a person." Then I watched your video and I feel hope again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Yom Kippur is on the way and I am looking forward...not backwards...again.

Getting up and moving on is crucial
Last night I ate 3 slices of pizza. I wasn't even physically hungry after eating HALF that amount, but I just kept on going. :-( Today is a new day. King Solomon got it right. So did you Charlie. May you be inscribed in the book of life. Gmar Chatima Tov.

You are so right don't give up!
Keep plodding on as in the end it is worth while. No point in giving up. It is the easy route but won't get one any where.
Thanks so much for sharing!I always love hearing your videos as they are so inspiring!

Brush yourself off and start again
I liked this clip a lot...it really inspired me. I'm just having a hard time with one thing; I'm afraid that if I hAve this attitude of brushing myself off and moving on I won't feel so bad stumbling again? What can I do to give me that balance?
(87) John Mason, September 20, 2015 6:05 PM
I like this
I need this to remind myself not to be so damn down on myself but to pull myself together and move on. Thanks so much for the reminder and the wisdom.
