I can't help but wonder if Solomon's "seven times" is somehow a reference to the week between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Or maybe that's just me, already struggling to keep my resolutions.

Thanks for the video! I often remember it when I'm struggling with my goals. God bless!

(91) Nancy, September 29, 2017 3:26 PM

Getting up and moving on is crucial

Last night I ate 3 slices of pizza. I wasn't even physically hungry after eating HALF that amount, but I just kept on going. :-( Today is a new day. King Solomon got it right. So did you Charlie. May you be inscribed in the book of life. Gmar Chatima Tov.

(90) Sara, March 19, 2017 5:46 PM

You are so right don't give up!

Keep plodding on as in the end it is worth while. No point in giving up. It is the easy route but won't get one any where.
Thanks so much for sharing!I always love hearing your videos as they are so inspiring!

(89) jim, October 10, 2016 4:49 PM

many times, many ways

don't give up, it is well worth another try.

Brush yourself off and start again

I liked this clip a lot...it really inspired me. I'm just having a hard time with one thing; I'm afraid that if I hAve this attitude of brushing myself off and moving on I won't feel so bad stumbling again? What can I do to give me that balance?

(87) John Mason, September 20, 2015 6:05 PM

I like this

I need this to remind myself not to be so damn down on myself but to pull myself together and move on. Thanks so much for the reminder and the wisdom.

(86) Eugene, October 3, 2014 5:57 PM

(83) Michael Metrick, September 28, 2014 2:49 PM

This touched me, just when I need it.

Thank you for this video, it hit me hard just in the right place. My weight management adviser told me that we have to try to achieve 80/20. That no one can be 100%. It is now after watching this video, that is finally is hitting home. It isn't just about weight loss, it is about life, about being a good person. Thank you again.

(82) Jody Eisenman, September 11, 2013 5:43 PM

Great Inspirational Video

I sometimes use this concept with my employees. Very powerful!

(81) Gabe, September 28, 2012 1:18 PM

This helped me so much over yom kippur

I couldn't believe it. I did something recently that I thought I would never be able to forgive myself for. Then suddenly 10 minutes before Yom Kippur he sends me this video. I used to think that Yom Kippur was the worst yom gov ever. Now I realize how important and happy I was to go through Yom Kippur with this video I mind. I did something so bad I thought for sure there was no hope for me. But with the help of my bestfreind, this video hhashem and yom Kippur I can honestly say that I'm a changed person. I don't think I will be able to forget what had happened but I'm definitely in the process of picking myself up and moving on for the better.

(80) Tony, September 26, 2012 10:52 AM

(68) Chana Yosefa, September 23, 2012 6:20 PM

Inspiring!

Thank you so much, Charlie Harary!! This made my day. My tendency is to give up and wallow in guilt. Now I will brush myself off and go on.

(67) Gavri Hanita Hazaka Selek 2nd, September 23, 2012 5:42 PM

very good, your a very talented guy with a hope and a heart for Iseael.

It amazes me that when I speaking on one topic or another. You are a very enthusiastic speaker with a condensed way of getting to the truth over a mater or topic. I really enjoy listening to what you have to say. Please keep it up I will enjoy listening to all other topics in the future. My computer will not allow me to put your video my to my computer no matter what. It doesn't matter what the programs is your on I can not put it on this dang computer. So I guess I'll happily listen to you instead of having it on my computer. This dang computer is quite the challenge for an older, older person.

Thank you and God bless!

(56) Anonymous, October 7, 2011 3:02 PM

learning

Charlie's "Everyone Falls" today sure reminded me about how all my pencils have to have erasers..... for me, it gives me the go ahead, the freedom to learn. Charlie's videos are the best.

Theresa B., September 19, 2012 4:09 PM

A man said, "Erasers are for those who make mistakes", an older man responded: "Erasers are for those willing to correct their mistakes"...

Lisamarie, September 24, 2012 11:40 AM

LOVE that thought!

Correct them if we can, still move on even if we can't.

(55) Adina, October 6, 2011 9:07 PM

Charlie Harary's videos are the best

Brilliant keep it up,one thing the world needs is more wisdom.

(50) Yosef, September 20, 2010 3:25 PM

Manuel

thank you for sharing your rabbis thought. how profound and inspiring! really nice

(49) Anonymous, September 19, 2010 5:01 PM

quote

i once heard: "if you get up once more then you've fallen, you will make it through."

(48) manuel, September 18, 2010 2:37 PM

The Torah tells it...

Talking about this yesterday in Kol Nidre services, the Rabbi said "Moses did not attain his goal to enter the land of Israel, he failed" and that is where the Torah ends, we close it, and start to read it all over again.

(47) , September 17, 2010 8:07 PM

Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration! and # 44 may you find your besehrit this yr.

This is an amazing video. I just wanted to suggest if there was a way to make an app for the new itouch to be able to watch these videos from there. (easier)

(44) Anonymous, September 17, 2010 1:50 AM

except if you are a single female, no-one will give you a chance, at dating if you made the mistake in the past of not making dating a priority. The individual can be as focused and committed as possible towards getting married, but the community will not give her a chance, these are the Jews that are tossed aside regardless of how sincere their attempts are to form a future.

smae, August 31, 2011 7:16 PM

Change focus maybe

My thought is to take your eyes off the goal of getting married and focus on serving others and loving life. Sometimes when we focus too much on what we do not have it twisted us all up inside and we are seen differently by others from what we believe we are. Instead, focus on what you do have. You have opportunities to forget about yourself, walk in humility, and care for others, serve....the sick, lonely...those with burdens...serve your community with no concern about recognition or return. This will make you lovely and you will find joy in your lot. Well, at least that is what I have learned.

(43) Michael, September 17, 2010 1:13 AM

Inspirational

Thanks for the great video and message. Something positive can be learned from every situation if we tale the time to look.

GREAT !!!!!!!

(39) Anonymous, September 16, 2010 8:41 PM

Brilliant and Funny

That was really funny...and very good. I could relate to all of it. But on a lighter note, that first part was hilarious because most folks viewing it have "been there, done that." I know I have. Well done!

(38) Anonymous, September 16, 2010 2:01 AM

Thank you for your video. I relate to the chocolate chip cookies. If I am studying at night or I awaken and I start to study Tanakh or some other book whether it is a Siddur or just Jewish Word Dictionary, I am ok. If I cannot get back to sleep and go turn on the tv... I can forget about not eating. There is always something there and who doesn't like carbs! Sweets! Thank you, I know that I am not alone. :)

(37) Kristina, September 16, 2010 1:59 AM

Getting Up Again

clips they help me in many ways. thanks again.

this clip on everyone falls is terrific. Thanks for your continual inspirational, uplifting and life changing/enhancing clips- they help me in so many ways to realign. Wishing you all well over the fast and may it be a meaningful one.

(33) Anonymous, September 15, 2010 4:49 PM

Thanks!

Charlie, your messages are always right on target. Your cookie story helped me this past week to break the habit of eating late in the evening. When my shift had changed, I knew it wasn't wise to eat supper after work when it was 7:00 or after. I broke that habit this week. And on a plan to "get up" from some other things also, even after many years. Thanks for your encouragement: YES WE CAN!

(32) Anonymous, September 15, 2010 4:09 AM

This was the most inspiring video that I have seen in a very long time. Sheva yipol tzaddik - this gives me the chizuk I desperately need not only for this Yom Kippur but for all year round, for life. Thank you Aish and Charlie Harary for the most amazing videos!

(31) Daniel Abram, September 14, 2010 8:25 PM

Yasher Koach!

Your video is not just required viewing for Yom Kippur, but it would truly benefit every person to watch your video every morning until your extremely important and powerful message is ingrained in one's being!

(30) Rochelle, September 14, 2010 2:08 AM

You truly are a blessing bestowed to all Jews. Your passion and love are evident. May you continue to inspire all of us. May you be blessed with Mazal and Bracha. Bravo!

(20) Josh, September 13, 2010 3:22 AM

More than thank you for your great video, thanks for being you

I have viewed a few of your videos in the past. As I watched each one, I was able to be strengthened by your message and feel better and happier because of it. But there is more to your videos than the message you share with us. There is you. I notice you are an exceptionally happy person. Happiness is not something one had fane - at least not to the level to you appear to be at. Thank you for working on yourself and growing to be a person who can have a punim yefes and inspire those that see you. As the gemora says, a person who smiles with the whites of his teeth is more nourishing than a cup of milk. Thanks for being you.

(19) Grace Fishenfeld, September 13, 2010 1:19 AM

Upright

Excellent! Since we left the garden, Our living adventure is to try and try again, to make things better for ourselves and others. What we do is filled with attempts and failures, but we must do, as Charlie says, is to try again.

(18) Dorothy Bienen, September 13, 2010 12:04 AM

A fabulous piece-truthful and a great message delivered with excellence!

This piece is extremely well done and spoken. We need to act on what is being said, not only at this time of year, but all other days as well. It is a great piece...thank you and may your New Year be sweet and meaningful. Dorothy Bienen

Persisting to Fix Economy with Education

Dear Charlie, Much thanks for the encouraging note. For over a year I have been pushing the idea that economic problems are related to education, or Edu-Conomy. I set up a blog: EconomyWiseUp.com . I sent out zillions of letters and emails to important people. So far, almost no one has responded. But...I am persisting and your video is encouraging me to keep sending out messages on this idea to fix the economy. Perhaps Aish.com would be interesting in commenting on this idea for economic recovery. MUCH THANKS and Good Year 5771 . Harry@RochesterNY

(7) mordi, September 12, 2010 4:49 PM

Thank you

This is the second talk i have heard from Charles. He is very effective. Even if they last only momentarily, they enter one's subconscious and likely come up later. It becomes cumulative and so i hope to hear more of his messages. I see that there are related articles below about the soul. I hope that the material is by Charles. Inspiartional messages can only benefit one. Thank you.

(6) jtc, September 12, 2010 4:11 PM

(2) Sarah, September 12, 2010 3:04 PM

Another amazing moment with Charles Harary

I hope that you know the joy and encouragement that your videos bring to me every time I watch one of them. I fall down a lot - and then I think I can never get up again - and watching this video made me think that I can get up again. Sort of a confession here...I intended to observe Rosh Hashanah and did nothing that day, nothing, but take the first day off from work. This morning, I was thinking, "You're nothing, Sarah, nothing...a failure as a Jew...ultimately as a person." Then I watched your video and I feel hope again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Yom Kippur is on the way and I am looking forward...not backwards...again.

(1) lisa, September 12, 2010 1:20 PM

Need cookie recipe!!

Thank you...once again....for bringing clarity & motavation into my life!!! Shana Tova.
