Incredibly powerful video. Nobody realizes how far behind Jews were in the sciences 100 years ago. We sure caught up fast! It just shows you what can be achieved when there is a will and a belief that you can do it. I think the key is not to look at the chance for failure but rather the opportunity for success. I think so much of the world resents Israel because of its success. God bless Israel!

in 1937 the cousin of my mother decided that studies at the university in Poland could less pleasant than in time when his older brother and many cousins did. Decided to attempt enrolling in the Techniion in Haifa. After many trials and tribnulations, financially herlped by my father he manged to acjeve this. He wasn't a student for long, membership in Hagana weas time consuming. This lead to him joining the Brigade, becoming officer in IDF and helping me and family to make our alijah in 1957. Sgan Aluf 'Janekl" Eshell was nicknamed the "Father of Tothamim" and had a large army funeral in 2002.
