Nachash

Great insight. Thank u. I am not sure the first story is providing an ideal blue print, rather it's pointing to where the story is headed the second tale provides more insight as to what needs to be overcome to get there. There is an enemy, prophets such as Zechariah or Joel and others paint a picture of nations gathered against Jerusalem before the day of Adonai, there is an enemy that will be destroyed before the nations and Israel are at peace under one G-d. Antisemitism begins in Egypt under the Ramses and continues throughout the ages the second pharaoh is demonstrating a different principle of reality. The first story point the way the second story lays out how we are going to get there and the humbling of the Nachash is part of it...
