I find such pride in being of the Jewish faith. I pray each day for piece in the middle east and for Isreal. They are such strong and ambitious people. Look what they made of nothing but desert. So proud of Isreal...

This is one of the most important facts for us to consider to re-kindle our faith, but also it becomes a critical argument when we have the opportunity to talk with someone that does not "believe", is it an apathetic Jew, or even an enemy, because these are Historical Facts. But for this same reason it is critical to be accurate in what we say, or the listener will get stock with the error, and end up denying the fact and the miracle. It is erroneous to cite the fallen empires in comparison with the prevalence of the Jewish people because we need to compare peoples to peoples and kingdoms to kingdoms. For that matter, the Kingdom of Israel is not here either (yet), and the Egyptian, Persian, and Roman peoples are still alive as well, But the difference, and where the miracle is undeniable, is precisely in what the song (the Haggada of Pesach) mentions, that the tiny (in comparison to the rest of the world) Jewish people has been persecuted for annihilation in every generation, and scattered all over the globe, unlike any other nation or people,,,,and yet.....alive, well, thriving....and rebuilding the Kingdom! :)

Not "the music of Yaakov Shwekey" at all.
Thanks for the amazing video. Please note Shwekey has a great voice, but the music belongs to the brilliant Yonatan Razel.
March 12, 2013 2:18 AM
Beautiful music written by Yonatan Raizel.
I'm very happy to see this inspiring video again this year, but it's time to retitle it & give proper credit to the composer.
March 6, 2013 10:59 AM
Razel, not Shwekey
A wonderful message, but a minor comment: The singer is Yaakov Shwekey, but the music was written by Yonatan Razel. "האומר דבר בשם אומרו מביא גאולה לעולם"

recognize the miracle
There are too many of our people that do not recognize the state of Israel. As the good Rabbi pointed out that 3 years after the holocaust the Jews fended off the unbelievable odds against them to hold on to the new State-as they did again in just 6 days in June '67.Can these Torah learning Jews be so blind as to not see the true hand of Hashem?
April 10, 2012 12:19 AM
recognizing the miracle
It is not that they don't see the amazing miracles. It's that they don't agree with the fact that the garment is not lead by DasasTorah- Torah wisdom, and therefore it appear that they are not recognizing the miracles. But a sincere learning Jew sees the hand of G-d in everything and sees all the amazing miracles happening daily!
April 10, 2012 7:48 PM
so lets focus on the Jews that do recognize Israel
Israel is real!! Thats all we have to know & believe!!

Time to take the next step
This is a beautiful film but it stops short of the ultimate step of renewal. At this point in history there is no need to grow Torah learning all over the world. It is time to pack up the Yeshivot and Batei Knesset and come back to the Land of Israel. This is indeed the time of miracles and the greatest one now is that there is nothing stopping a Jew from coming home other than his own desire to stay away. All gates are unlocked because it is time for the Geula. We're waiting for you.
January 29, 2013 10:37 PM
I beg to differ
Unfortunately, I believe you missed the whole point of this presentation. "Vehi Sheamda" - It is the covenant that has kept us close to G-d. "Im Lo Berisi Yomam Volaila Chukos Shamayim Vaaretz Lo Samti" The Torah is at the heart of the Jewish People. This is not to belittle the mitzvah of living the Eretz Yisrael (i live there myself), however the Torah is Kneged Kulam- equal to all the mitzvot.
February 17, 2013 6:59 PM
Well said, except for "I believe" for there are many, many thousands who recognize the truth you expressed (even I, who has not yet merited to make aliyah).

Wow, thank you so much, your message was so moving and so appropriate, after the terriable things that have happened. Thanks for your guidance in how to believe and the meaning of vhe shemada.
April 2, 2012 9:34 PM
...... but to be fair, the music comes from Yonatan Raizel. He's the brilliant artist who composed it, even if Shwekey bought the rights to it.

We are miracles!
Thank you very much. This is so good and so true!

Wonderful history lesson, re the 'greater' miracle.
Thank you for such an enlightening presentation. I lived through the WW2 but we had no idea of the atrocities brought against hashem's special race of people. Only after the Allied Forces victories, did we even begin to comprehend the price you paid. And we aare aware that the end is not yet. We pray that the Nations gathered around your borders will not be able to afflict your nation without experiencing the wrath That Jehovah Elohim has promised your enemies. I remeber the Six Day Event. Only He could deliver you so miraculously.
Again Thank you.

give credit where credit is due
What a wonderful, uplifting clip. Thank you! I would like to point out that the incredible music heard was written and arranged by Yonatan Razel. Yaacov Shwekey sings the song movingly and beautifully, as usual. A chag kasher v'sameach to all!
