Perfection !!

So true that we each have a specific role to play. We must, at some point in our lives, learn how to get out of our comfort zone. Otherwise we will never get the courage or strength to help ourselves & others.

Another fantastic video from Charlie.

Love it! But I must tell you, the background music was very distracting. Would have been better without. Go Charlie! We love you!

Very Inspiring

Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! I have no words to describe how amazing this video clip was and what an impact it made on me and my perception of Purim. I always looked forward to Purim but this year I feel it will be a different and more uplifting Yom Tov. Thank You Aish! I would love to see mor clips of Charlie Harary

(45) Ellen, February 8, 2013 8:34 PM

Wow!

Charlie has a way of explaining Judaism in such a way that even a non-religious Jew like me is profoundly moved and sees an extraordinary beauty and wisdom in Judaism. My Hebrew school teachers made everything sound so dry and boring. Charlie, however, makes Judaism the most relevant religion I know of. Thanks Aish and Charlie Harary!

I actually understood something else!

The theme of your video, "we are put here on this world for a purpose, to make a difference", is beautiful, but, actually, until you explained the theme, I thought it was about ahavas yisroel and chesed. What Esther and Mordechai did for klal yisroel is the epitomy of love of their people, worrying, and caring, and risking their lives to care for their fellow Jews. and even if you don't know what is your purpose in this world, you are here to try to make this world a better place by being a good , decent person.

It is Enough To be All You Are

It is ones own truth, that frees a man. It is converting fear, into courage, that helps us step. It is the total belief that we are never alone, in the face of anything, and in that truth lies, true love. As you run the race with the Jewish People, I will be watching you, with a smiling heart, knowing you are part of our family. May the Blessings of Words Always come from Hashem to Spread Light Where Ye Goes.... God Bless You Charlie Harary…..EJT

Kidush Hashem

Charlie Harary, There are so many horrible things going on and so many people causing a Chillul Hashem. Thank you so, so much for constantly creating a great Kidush Hashem! I listen to you on Hidabrut (at times) and watch your videos, you are a tremendous inspiration. May Hashem continue to help you with your work and may you and yours be blessed...

(41) Tzvi, March 6, 2012 11:19 PM

Amazing!!!!!!!!!

Amazing.I have so much of a bigger understanding now.Charlie Harary should be in more of Aish's videos.

(40) Jeannette Zipes, March 6, 2012 8:01 PM

Purim

You mention that everyone has a purpose in life, so why so we abort G-d purpose. Every child has a right to live according to G-d s plan

(39) janis altman, March 6, 2012 2:38 PM

what a great message for everyone as Purim approaches.

Thank you once again for your insight and ability to always bring the past into the present for every single person.

(38) eva, March 5, 2012 12:17 AM

Once again, a home run! Let us pray for another Purim miracle this year, and another Haman's downfall!!! Hashem, please do it again!!!

(37) Anonymous, March 4, 2012 6:50 PM

Wow! Beautiful

I was born & raised in Boro Park Brooklyn & FFB. & almost every time I see an article from by Rabbi Charlie Harary it inspires me. But I do have one comment on this article – when the Jews find out about the decree “Mordechai their leader starts to rally the troops – fasting repenting protesting & crying trying everything in their power to cancel the decree”, for some reason I don’t think they “protested”

(36) nir, March 4, 2012 1:52 PM

charlie should have a 24/7 TV station

I must heard the purim story a thousnad times. But Charlie has a nack for delivering a fresh Wall Street Journal perspective using such words in his narrative: powerbroker, CEO of the world, etc Refreshing

(35) Kyrsten Fallstead, March 2, 2012 8:21 PM

This video was absolutely amazing! The sound fluctuated and made it hard to hear what he was saying sometimes though. But all around I loved it. Thank you!

(34) Teresa Mondragon, February 29, 2012 11:57 PM

A great lesson reminding us we were born with a purpose

This video not only helped remind me of Esther's story but reinspired me to be who God made me to be a woman of purpose! Great message and presentation!

(33) Lori Romsdal, February 29, 2012 8:51 PM

(30) Anonymous, May 31, 2011 3:16 PM

Waiting for Part 2: what is my purpose?

It's a good message, but without Part 2, some of us are still lost: how to figure out what our purpose is.

(29) Anonymous, March 18, 2011 8:53 AM

Our unique mission

Thank you Eliyahu for the message you us with great spirit! HaShem has each one of us an special mission to fullfill in life. This mission is not easy because for it's fullfillment you have to get out of your comfort zone. This hurts because grow hurts. I believe my mission is to create an religious yeshuv in Israel soon as an inspiring example of an 'economy of enough' With the help of HaShem and others I will succeed. Gut Purim! Ja'akov Markus - Holland

(23) Anonymous, February 28, 2011 6:28 PM

Thanks

I teach this to my students, but it's nice to hear someone tell it to me!

(22) Susan, February 21, 2011 11:19 PM

Nicely done!

This video was educational and entertaining, informative AND inspirational! Not for nothing, Purim is the first Jewish holiday I observed, and it remains dear to my heart. Its story, customs, and traditions led me to be drawn into exploring this wondrous faith, in which I was born, but not raised. I thank G'd for the ability to continue to learn and grow as a Jew, and as a person!!! Todah rabah, Charlie Harary and Aish HaTorah. l'shalom, Susan

(21) Anonymous, February 21, 2011 12:39 AM

(20) , May 31, 2010 1:32 PM

it's simply amazing i didn't know there were videos like this !!! thank you for everything you do !!

(19) Anonymous, March 2, 2010 10:13 PM

Nice point ! But as far as I understand 1) Esther had Ruach Hakodesh/ a low level of prophecy before Mordichai's little talk with her, meaning that this basic understanding was surly known to her beforehand. 2) Esther did all she could not to be chosen as queen and surly did not think for a moment that her charm was the reason for her being chosen. 3) What Mordichai was teaching her was this was the way to proceed at that time and not some other option.

(18) Shoshana, March 1, 2010 3:04 AM

Marvelous

I have to think about my mission.....

(17) Velma aka Shammah, February 28, 2010 11:54 AM

Such A Time as This

Just as Esther was for "such a time as this," so too your wonderful video was meant for me at "such a times as this!" Once again Aish...thank you for sharing your collective wisdom & blessing me.

(16) Anonymous, February 28, 2010 3:40 AM

Thank you aish and Charles Harary for providing such wonderful inspiration. When I only have a couple minutes in my day for something spiritual, I know I can always visit your website and read or watch something short and powerful that will change my Purim. Thank you!

Working together.

Love Charles Harary videos! I thought about Aish.com when watching this, for all they do. Not just one person does this, it's everyone working together, each doing there part. Charles did his part, and all at Aish.com did your part in getting this to us, and now we do our part. It takes each other! Just like it did for Esther, her Uncles encouragement, the people's fast and prayers, all working together doing Hashem will. Don't you think that's the way Hashem intended it? Of course! Start with what you have, and where it leads you. Then arise to the occasion! Just like Esther did! You all did a great job with this, thanks!

(12) Marc, February 26, 2010 4:56 PM

thank you!

Charlie, that was extremely motivating and well put! Love the way you communicate with such heart and passion. May hashem continue to bless you and your family! Shabbat Shalom.

(11) Yitzi W., February 26, 2010 6:25 AM

Excellent as always!

(10) Iris Moskovitz, February 26, 2010 4:30 AM

Magnificant piece of work.

Truly an educational and enthusiastic performance, once again. I would love to be able to work up all my strength to fulfill my purpose in this world. May Hashem give me the strength I need at every moment of my life, and all of our lives. Have a meaningful and pleasant Purim, to all.

(9) Yael, February 26, 2010 3:35 AM
