tribe of Binyamin

can you remind me of the tribe of Mordechai and Eshter, and the origins of the trouble between their tribe and the other tribes of Israel? I have forgotten, thanks very much

layers of meanings / layers of actions

Hi, thanks a lot Rabbi Fohrman. I am happy to have discovered these videos and discovering new layers of deeper knowledge and understanding.
I have also found that some of my actions in the past have been to remain silent and watching things going the wrong way.
I am also thinking in nations' role, for example Switzerland who praises "neutrality". I lived there several years and thought this was good and actually a principle that brought success tothe country. Now I am thinking that eventually it could be this what sets the stage to its "destruction". And I then paralell it with our lives in those instances where we are not hot nor cold about things, but rather warm; either we stand for the truth or we don't. I hope I have the courage and strenght from above to stand for it. Reflecting about this by following these videos brings me a step forward in being "loyal" to what I believe. Thanks again.

Fascinating

I listened twice, once as I cooked and glanced now and then at the video and again, watching the video.
I thought it was quite interesting even without the video. Together with the video illustrations it is really fabulous.

I find this interesting if you take into account the original feast of Achashverosh, where he used the Temple items. The Jews attended and were silent to protest, giving their assent and earning the decree from Haman, but were saved when Esther DIDN'T stand by to allow that to happen.

One issue does bug me, though: according to Numbers 30, shouldn't she have spoken up immediately, instead of waiting three days? Or am I just taking the parallels too literally?

Thanks for the insights and God bless!
