Mrs. Carter, an elementary school teacher, wanting to teach her students proper behavior, was asking the youngsters rules that their parents might give before taking them to a nice restaurant.

"Don't play with your food," said Jimmy Watson.

"Don't be loud," said Sally Albertson, and so on.

"And what rule do your parents give you before you go out to eat?" the teacher inquired of little Max Rosenthal.

Without batting an eye, the child replied, "Don’t forget to order the side egg rolls along with the Chow Mein.”
