Little Moishie Rosenberg called Rabbi Silverman to come to the hospital and pray for his mother who had been very ill with the flu.
Rabbi Silverman knew the family but only because they had once been members at his shul but a few years ago they switched to Rabbi Bernstein’s shul. So Rabbi Silverman asked, "I would be happy to come, but perhaps you should call Rabbi Bernstein first?”
Little Moishie replied, "No, I don’t think so. We don’t want to take the chance that he might catch whatever Mom has."
