The Perfect Marriage

Rabbi Chaim Rosenberg was fresh out of rabbinical school and took up a post as Assistant Rabbi at congregation Beth Israel.

Rabbi Rosenberg was having trouble getting people to come to his Talmud lectures so his wife suggested he give a class to your couples on the “perfect marriage.”

“But Chaim,” said his wife Rivkah, “make sure to start your class with a good joke.”

The night of Rabbi Rosenberg’s first lecture came, and to his surprise, a large crowd assembled. As he stared young couples, he started to stammer. Sweat began to form on his brown.

Then, remembering his wife’s advice Rabbi Rosenberg gathered up his courage and said, “You know who had the perfect marriage? Adam and Eve. You know why?”

The couples stared at Rabbi Rosenberg blankly.

“Adam didn't have to hear about all of the men Eve could have married and Eve didn't have to hear about how well Adam’s mother cooked!”
