General Paul Johnson was in charge of the U.S. Navy and he was visiting his colleague in Israel General Shlomo Katz, who was in charge of the Israeli armed forces. Johnson arrives at the military camp and is greeted by Katz. They both walk around the place, and Johnson asks: "So how are your men?"
"Very well trained,” replies Katz
"I hope so. You see, my men over at the Navy are so well trained, you could see they're the bravest soldiers in the world."
"Well, my men are very brave too," replies Katz.
"I'd like to see that."
So Katz calls a private and says: "Private Epstein! I want you to stop that tank dead in its tracks with your body!"
"Are you crazy? It'd kill me, you schnook! I'm out of here!" As Private Epstein ran away, Katz turned to a bewildered Johnson and says:
"You see? You have to be pretty brave to talk like that to a general."
