Chaim Yankel was on his first plane ride and sitting next to his fellow passenger he desperately wanted to make conversation.

“My name’s Chaim Yankel,” Chaim Yankel says, smiling. “What’s your name?”

“Steve Johnson,” answers the man, clearly not that interested in a conversation.

After a few minutes pass, Chaim Yankel looks up from the book he’s reading and asks, “Who needs a ‘k’ in airplane?”

Steve looks up at Chaim Yankel, puzzled, and responds, “What do you mean? There is no ‘k’ in airplane.”

After a few minutes of thinking, Chaim Yankel looks back up at Steve and asks, “Why is there no ‘k’ in airplane?”

Exasperated, Steve responds, “WHO NEEDS A ‘K’ IN AIRPLANE?!”

“Hey wait a second,” protests Chaim Yankel . “LET’S GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE! Isn’t that the question I started off with?! Who needs a ‘k’ in airplane?!”
