Morty Mandelbaum was riding the "F" train of the subway line in New York City.

He was commuting from Brooklyn to his job in Manhattan. He finished reading the morning paper and was saving it to bring to friends at work. How do you save a newspaper on the subway? You sit on it.

A new commuter came in, saw the newspaper Morty was sitting on and asked: "Are you reading that paper?"

Morty, being the tough New Yorker that he is, turned the page, sat down on the paper, and answered, "Yes."
