It was Erev Shabbat in the Rosenberg home and Shira Rosenberg was running around the house trying to finish all of her preparations. As if the stress weren't enough, her four-year-old son Moishie insisted on asking questions about everything, wanted to eat all of the Shabbos food and was making a mess everywhere.
Finally, fed up with the chatter and the mess, Shira made him an offer: "Moishie, if you'll be quiet and sit still for just a few minutes, I'll give you a dollar." It worked.
Then it was time to clean Moishie’s room and get him ready for Shabbos. "Moishie, clean your room ... let’s get you in the bath ... then into your Shabbos clothes."
Finally he said seriously, "Mommy, if you'll be quiet for just a few minutes, I'll give you a dollar."
