Scales of Justice

Rivky and Sarah, best friends, both six years old, went with Rivky’s mother on a trip to the department store. The two youngsters were closely examining bathroom scales on display in the bed and bath section.

"Have you ever seen one of these before?" Rivky asked.

"Yeah, my mom and dad have one," Sarah replied.

"What's it for?" asked Rivky.

"I don't know," Sarah answered. "I think you stand on it and it makes you mad."
