Little Morty Applebaum was constantly being picked on by some non Jewish kids in his neighborhood. Morty liked to hang out near the local corner store and that’s where the other boys would find him and tease him for not being the sharpest tool in the shed. To prove it, the boys would offer Morty his choice between a nickel and a dime and Morty would always take the nickel (they said) because it was bigger.
One day after Morty grabbed the nickel, the corner store owner who had been watching this play out over a long period of time took him aside and said "Morty, those boys are making fun of you. They think you don't know that the dime is worth more than the nickel. Are you grabbing the nickel because it's bigger, or what?"
With a big grin on his face, Morty slowly turned toward the store owner. "Well," he answered, "If I took the dime, they'd stop doing it, and so far I've saved $20!"
