Comrade Who?

It's during the days of Soviet Russia, and Abram Rabinovich applies for membership in the Communist Party. He is required to answer a few questions.

"Who was Karl Marx?" asks the party official.

"I don't know," replies Rabinovich.

"Lenin?"

"Sorry, I don't know him either."

"What about Leonid Brezhnev?"

"Never heard of him either."

"Are you playing games with me?" asks the official.

"Not at all," says Rabinovich. "Do you know Hershel Salsberg?"

"No," the official says.

"What about Yankel Horowitz?"

"Never heard of him."
