ummm, Yitzi, your Hebrew is a little off

A child in Hebrew is yeled. Ben is son. But I like your analogy in any event.

    children are our continuity line

Children are our offspring and continuity line. They emulate virtually everything adults do. So, they must perceive the right kind of emulation by parents who lead by example and are influential in a positive light. It's a matter of educating and disciplining them under loving, caring parents, ideally those of a same-faith intramarriage.

    To help perfect the world

The hebrew word for child is ben. The commentaries point out that ben is related to the Hebrew word l'ven which means brick. The implication is that every child is another brick that helps bring the world to perfection. Every child has the capacity to perfect the edifice of humanity
