Older smolder
Yes can't play ball like I used, can't run like I used to, knee surgery, back surgery, but my mind is still there and can still joke with everyone. Enjoy life, eat ice cream for breakfast! Laugh with your friends! Smile at a stranger, kiss your spouse good morning!

between the ears
Age is something that is between the ears. We are promised a minimum of 120 years so middle age is at 60!

examples
We have examples in the Tanakh of men who were just getting started in their 80's-Moses and Abraham who tramped all over the Middle East on foot and whose wisdom we can glean from everyday-the Tanakh exalts the aged in the Proverbs and honor was bestowed on them as well as Isaac, Jacob, etc. Despite what the media tells us, we should have a long productive life to look forward to!

Days passing by quickly
You have to make the most of your time when you are young but also try and keep active when you grow older. You have to keep yourself busy and stimulate your brain to keep growing. If you are blessed with good health you have to keep your body active as well.

EACH DAY IS A GIFT
Al and I have 5 healthy children and 7 beautiful grandchildren, and ourselves in pretty good shape. Our lives might seem mundane consisting of the usual family occasions, a little travel, reading, t.v., N.J. shore visits starting now. . . We are blessed to be living in the best country ever in freedom surrounded by our loved ones.

Not true
We have free choice and I choose life. Torah has given me so much to learn that my mind just wants more. Torah has given my life new meaning in ways that I never thought possible.

Unfortunately for many people, this is true
I know quite a few people who are over age 70 and unfortunately for quite a number of them, they have stopped living. When you go to an old age home, a lot of the residents sit there staring into space for most of the day. I think the way to prevent this is to constantly try and learn new things when you are younger. Learn how to use the computer, learn a new language, etc. Also try to stay as physically active as possible. The body and mind work together. Then when you reach old age, you will have the tools necessary to continue this life style and you will be able to live a very full life

not at all
The more we grow older, the wiser we (generally) become. It all depends on how we apply our life purpose while we are in our primes in our 20's and 30's. At least some things in life one is never too old or late for.
