Hysterical...yet so sad
I literally laughed out loud at this clip. It portrays life as it is, unfortunately. We have such strong convictions at home but when it comes to defending them and standing up for them in public or in uncomfortable stuations, we chicken out.

German cars and bad omens
I tend to think that bad omens for Jews typically come with owning German cars. My dad used to have a Porsche (made in Germany) 20 years ago and it was a big financial blunder on our family, because he had to pay $300 a month for it on the lease alone...Also, I agree with all the posters here that anti-semitism doesn't begin or end with the Holocaust and the Nazis.

Is Jewlarious having an identity crisis? When you try to mix comedy and serious issues, it comes up short on both ends. There are many serious discussion forums around. Perhaps Jewlarious should stick with comedy.

Forget the swastikas and Aryan Brotherhood looks--antisemitism is and probably always has been alive (and sick) in America. All one has to do is be a blue-eyed blood with a Swedish-sounding name to have the "nicest", most respected people share their private thoughts about Jews.
The activists of Brooklyn or Brookline, may be able to round up a demonstration or use their political clout to force this stuff underground, but for those of us who are a real "minority" (where making a minion means including every Jewish woman in the county along with four men and a boy) what the family in that film clip did doesn't seem so unreasonable.
Before you look down on therm--or us--reread how Davide Melek, when he was in the land of Gat, one of Israel's enemies, pretended to be insane, even letting spit drool down his beard to escape.

Klaus, we hardly knew ye.
Interesting to note, his death was overshadowed by another children's favorite, Dr. Seuss, who died on the same day.

we MUST face any hate groups and anti semites head on!!
We are blessed to live in a country that is free and as Jews have the right to live without bigotry. When we encounter any of these situations we have a duty to react and can't allow this to go unanswered.

I don't know if the Klaus Barbi is real, but anti-semitism is only sub-surface even in the US. The reaction of the erstwhile Jews is also , alas, too real.

Really hilarious & true to life!!
this short video is really well acted and full of funny and not-so-funny moments!!
i think this is a total positive and all-encompassing choice that jews and non-jews can relate to: we've all been to the museum that 'purports to entertain us' and actually makes us uncomfortable.
... like going to disney world and becoming ill from going on r'rides'; getting sun-stroke from standing in line or seeing the reaction of your toddlers after 'mr. toad's wild ride'; a very healthy rhino skin is needed with these 'summer holiday flings', those after-episode discussions some people refer to as de-briefing ...
