the UN really IS a joke. that is, if they let crazies like Ahmedinejad say their hateful speech and then bash Israel for every tiny thing. well at least some people have still got their sense of humor to see this about the UN...

I think the concept of the U.N. is important, but it has truly become a mockery. It has become a venue for antisemitism. However. I do agree that "talking is better than fighting" but I do not want to pay for it anymore. Get it out of NY and move it to Canada.

Rov Soloveitchik said
Many years ago, I heard Rov Soloveitchik, zt"l, say that the only reason the UN came into being was to establish the State of Israel. It really has done nothing before or since. But I have also heard Rav Weinberg,zt"l, say that talking is better than fighting.

U.N. a mockery?
I think the U.N. has discredited itself with its hypocritical treatment of a small sovereign nation trying to defend itself! Their lack of credibility is just being enjoyed in a humorous way as depicted on SNL.

It was funny, funny, funny
The U. N. was never the great agency for good we wanted to imagine it is/was. I also believe that Eleanor Roosevelt would have been mortified and furious had she been informed that this is how the U. N. was going to turn out.

Saturday Night Live is stooopid
I think the message here is that Saturday Night Live has become a mockery of its former glory. Do people really still watch this stooopidity?
