Attitude, that's what is wrong with this situation.
Even when I have paid for things, does the whole world owe me everything? Come on, be a mench and just use what you need and maybe take home a couple of souvenirs for the kids. This sort of wholesale hoarding is more than wrong. It is a possession-based obsession by people who do not live with faith that G-d will give you your needs without making wildly excessive and disproportionate efforts to acquire property. Be well, enjoy your life, but don't be a hog!

Eliyahu, they WANT you to take some home
Eli, the toiletries are there for your use. They WANT you to take the stuff that costs them a quarter, because it's cheap advertising - you see the Ramada soap & remember the good time you had.
These people aren't taking towels or the TV, they're taking the soap and shampoo - inexpensive amenities that come complimentary with the room.

You paid for the room? The stuff is therefore not stolen.
The free hotel items are for guests paying for the room use. Unless you filched them from the maid's cart or elsewhere, they are yours! Mr. Cohen: You are not a goniff!

Stealing is not Cool
Even if you use what you have stolen to give it to charity, that does not make it OK. Or even somewhat OK. It's still awful, and its sad that people think they can vindicate themselves or justify their actions by giving stolen money/items to charity. That is not an end that justifies the means by any stretch of the imagination.
