You know, what is being craftily left out of this clever piece is the bigger picture. Yes, their lives are in shambles, yes we First Worlders "hate" all kinds of things kings of previous generations could not even dream of, and yes, these impoverished people desperately need clean water. But why does our country not have these conditions and theirs does? The bigger picture is a horribly repressive and imbalanced government regime, designed to keep their populations at the edge of starvation. Rarely does aid come through. Shiploads full of lifesaving supplies are typically left to rot at the harbor or confiscated by the ruling class. No incentive or opportunity, despite that so many of these countries are wildly rich with resources the world covets. Health problems, disease - rampant. They keep their people slaves and live off their backs. And then well-meaning organizations (maybe) send out these PSA's and arouse our sympathy but distract us from speaking out about the true underlying issues. Tragic.

Exactly, your comment is so right on the spot and I hate that people don't actually realise this. How many billions and billions of dollars have first world countries donated over and over again and still I see people dying, I see children crying out of starvation, I see malnutrition and aids spreading like wildfire and yet we keep donating and nothing keeps happening. It is the oppressive government regimes and it is time to stop this.

I hate it when they hurt innocent animals.
I sincerely hope that the beautiful goat and pig that I saw are not their food, for that would also be a tragedy.
There are some beautiful meals that could be made from seeds, the trees, the earth. Yes, i am serious.
