Good for you Dave Chappelle
One of the clearest explanations of mixed emotions that I have ever heard. He is honest and straightforward in dealing with probing (perhaps rude?) questions, and does not waver from his stance. When he said "I probably would be happier" he had me sold. Who is rich? He who has what he needs. My hat is off to Dave Chappelle, he created a fan.

Try thinking of others!
If D.C. used his time to help others, perhaps he wouldn't be so conflicted by his choice to be irresponsible.

good eye, shulamuna
Something in that little video clip did bother me, and I didn't even catch what it was until I read your comment. People do get a bit strange talking about money. Maybe thats it. Or could it be ASPBERGERS? That could even provide an explanation of CHapelles behavior overall. As I recall, he walked away (far away) from a successful show that was making him a fortune, and I seem to remember he even had artistic control of the show. Anyway the only other things I can remember are staring at some of his sketches in disbelief that somebody was actually getting away with this! And any parent questioning how much time their child spends on line should watch Chapelles early sketch on "What the Internet would look like if it were a place" Brilliant stuff.

That was a very honest discussion. Food for thought. What I don't understand, though, is why Dave Chappelle wouldn't look David Letterman in the eye for most of the interview. That piece of body language was very loud in an otherwise uniquely thoughtful conversation.
