The video left me with a frown.I am a “Tora-true” Jew. Some call me a Ba’al Teshuva because I wasn’t born religious. Some call me “Ultra” or ‘fanatic’ for what they THINK my Judaism stands for.Anyway, the point is, at this stage of my life (I’m 56), and having been religious the vast majority of my adult life (from age twenty or so), if I found out I wasn’t Jewish, the first thing I’d do, is convert.

go online see this episode...good nachus!
My jaw dropped as I watched this show for the first time, and this was the theme! Was it funny, and so to the point. The entire grocery erupts in a dance and song production when they shop for the Pesach sedar...Jews appear, of all kinds, and sing while dancing about horosis, the exodus from Egypt...adorable.Find the episode online and watch!

It could only happen to a Jew
You could never "suddenly find out" that you were a member of any other religion except Judaism--as far as I know--because Judaism is the only religion that you inherit via birth. Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism are all religions that a person must embrace consciously and intentionally -- and ritually -- before being accepted as a member of the tradition. Membership is not automatic. So it is interesting, both anthropologically, and on a personal--emotional and philosophical--level. Do you just abandon the concept(s) you have had about yourself up to now? Do you go through a bunch of rituals because someone else wants you to, or tells you that's what group "J" does? Why should anything about how you live your life change at all?

Going through a bunch of rituals because someone else wants you to? No.
You explore this new-found inheritance, ask questions of those who can really answer, and think honestly and about the answers. That's the whole of it.

Body and soul must 'agree'
we are not our biology. how does a 5 mth old Catholic baby know much of anything at baptism - drop of water on the head? Does a modern Hindu woman choose to be bethrothed to her husband as her 'master'? ... Real wisdom takes some serious study.

I believe most religions, especially muslim where you cannot convert to others, inherit their religions too.

Because that'a what G-d wants
Yes, you abandon the concepts you have had until now. The reason anything about how you live your life should change is because that is what G-d wants from us.
A Jew has to live as G-d commanded us to live in His holy Torah that was given to us on Mt. Sinai. And sometimes it happens that suddenly, for reasons that we don't know, G-d decides to reveal Himself to an individual Jew who until them did not even know he was Jewish. It can happen at a Bar Mitzvah, or by coming across family papers long forgotten in the attic or a parent deciding to tell him, And through that person of event , G-d is saying to him, " My dear child, I am the G-d of your fathers, the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, you are a Jew. Come back to Judaism". And so yes, you come back, realizing how much G-d loves you and wants you to come back. And you learn about your Judaism and become so proud and grateful. And you keep kosher and
Shabbos, and for the rest of your life, thank Ha-shem, G-d, for tapping you on the shoulder.
