Kosher meals on airplanes are prepared better.

The Kosher meal on a plane is almost always better. While everyone else gets cheap sandwiches for instance, the kosher meal is hot and tasty... so I don't get this bit on Seinfeld at all. Now if you want to get stranded without a kosher meal... come to Kansas...

went hungry

I got a seat on Swiss Air through a travel agency, and through the agency ordered a kosher meal----no problem. on arriving to check in I asked that a kosher meal was ordered and to check that it was available--no problem. On entering the plane I again asked if every thing was OK and that a kosher meal was provided-- again ----no problem. we were on a non stop flight to Israel from Toronto. When meal time came there was NO KOSHER MEAL and all the stewardesses looked like this was the first they had head of it. We asked if there was anything else like soft drinks--no. We were each given a small (pill size) container of kosher peanuts ( literally 3 nuts). So I asked if we could have more containers---- no only one per person was allowed, Perhaps they were trying to pressure us into eating non kosher-- I don't know but they certainly didn't offer or suggest anything. I no longer trust or in any way support Swiztica Air. I since always noted its any Jewish and anti Israel slant in the news. I don't know why I asked so often about that kosher meal except that some 6th sense was at work. We did get some money back a few months later but as I said , No more ----no problem.

Stranded Without Kosher Food

The question isn't whether or not we think the bit was funny or in poor taste (or about how kosher food tastes). The question is whether we have been stranded without kosher food.

I don't think I could ever say I was "stranded" and forced to eat non-kosher or go hungry. If I could find fresh foods like veggies and fruit, that has tided me over until kosher meal availability.

I have always eaten kosher meals on flights and have never been disappointed. They were usually more appetizing-looking and smelling than what was served to the rest of the people.

Terrible....terrible...and not funny....trajic

As a Jew ....I take offense to see how silly TV comedy (?) series like Seinfeld has become....When so many Jews do not know of confuse them with obvious Jews playing the is discusting ...And look how a Jewish Actress....looks at kosher food at the end.....Really a Shame....not funny .....especially after so many innocent children were murdered in Nazi occupied lands for being KOSHER.....Shame on these supposed Jewish writers....I am offended...
