You do have God's love in your heart. Your example shows how we should never fear for God's love of us if this is what one man, heart full of His love, can do. a poem I wrote about this kind of devotion
An Expert on True LoveAt 8:30 in the morning, Into the clinic he'd come.Stitches needed to be removedFrom the old man's thumb. But he kept glancing at his watch. What was he waiting for?The young doctor just asked him,Before he walked out the door.“What is it you are rushing to?Where do you have to be?”“I have breakfast with my wife,” he said.He said it eagerly.“Every single morning, Soon as the clock strikes nine,I am there to eat with her. That is how we dine.”“My wife is in a nursing home. Her dementia has progressed.”-“So would she care if you were late?”The intern asked, in jest.“She doesn't know who I am.She hasn't known in years. But I still know who she is.”He said, smiling through tears.

Aw, isn't that just the point?
He still knows who she is. B-H that we should all think like this.

Love is sometimes self-sacrifice
and this gentleman displays that in his actions. Makes me wish I had my dear husband back to care for him-but he was in so much pain, too. This should be shown to ALL couples who plan to marry! (Not to scare them, but hopefully inspire...!?))
