A Tzenter for a Minyan
I now understand why out side a Shul or Shtebel- A man calls out to the passerbys " A ztenter" " we need a tenth man for a Minyan"However, once the tenth has joined the other nine and there is a \Minyan , he doesn't look for more men. For the extra man adds very little to the ten that have already gathered. So, try being the one of the original ten. for you make the Minyan.

Minyan is a new constructive- more than 9 1=10. 9 are 1 repeated 9 times, ergo individuals. So, the 1 who disagrees has credence. 10=Minyan enters a new realm, ergo 1 who disagrees with 10 is a non-entity and not in "the same league", does not exist

The Tenth Man Makes a Minyan
In Judaism, the significance of the "tenth man" is that only with him do we have a minyan to conduct prayer services. The Hebrew consonants that make up the word minyan also spell 'minayin' which translates to 'How?' Our strength lies in our prayers, especially when said with a minyan!
