Actions vs Attitude
I think it all boils down to how your attitude is about your whole life. Take Joseph for example. His gift from G-d was dreams, having them and interpreting them. Before he got sold into slavery, he told everyone his dreams, which sparked jealousy in his brothers. In Egypt, the dreamers came to him for interpretation; he didn't boast his gift. That's when he was rewarded. So it's not that you MUST change your personality, it's all about how you think about it and respond to those beliefs, like how Joseph concluded his gift waa not his own but from G-d. But he did not become hopeless and thinking that he cannot control his fate. Now if we all can have an attitude like "Egypt Joseph", trusting in HaShem and that everything comes from Him, then we can adjust to what He has given us and use it to glorify Him.

I haven't seen the movie, but judging from this video, it's not a MORAL change Ralph wants to undergo---being a "bad guy" in his video game is more like a job, and he wants a new one. So the question is a bit more muddied: how do you know WHAT you want to be?God bless!

Dare to change.
Not only do we have to change our actions, we have to change our support system if it's one that supports the negative actions we take. Just because they think is the right or cool thing to do, does not mean that, you have to go along with it. Dare to change who you hang out with or seek advice from, listen and follow your heart.

I'm not so sure
I think there are a LOT of people who HAVE made radical changes in who they are. The whole “Ba’al T’shuva” movement is about that. I know that I’m not the same person at 55 that I was at 45, let ALONE at 25. That’s one of the reasons that I’m divorced, and why I now get different results on “Personality” tests (that are SUPPOSED to be unchanging).Fortunately, it’s also the main reason that I LIKE myself better at 55, than at…

We cant change who we are, but we can change our actions
By changes our actions we can internally change ourselves, but by trying to change ourselves we are just doing what we think our people will like.

Nothing wrong with that
The 10 Commandments changed the Jewish people, and following them is what G-d likes. Maybe it's part of going along to get along?
